Mad Decent is looking for interns to join a talented and growing team during its Fall/Winter 2017 quarter in Los Angeles. Interns should be committed to learning the business and creative side of music and have a passion for marketing and communications. The internship lasts for one college semester.
- Must live in LA with access to reliable transportation.
- Must be able to commit to two full days per week.
- Must have valid and current, accredited college enrollment and receive credit for this internship.
- Not required but personal social links are welcomed when applying.
- Must have knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
Openings
Marketing
The Marketing intern will touch upon and assist in each sector of the record label’s operations, public-facing initiatives and artists release promotional activity. Duties will include but are not limited to:
General marketing tasks and related errands.
Data and rights management.
Assist in copywriting.
Assist in reporting and digital upkeep.
*Knowledge of Adobe Suite a plus. Along with your resume, include a few sentences on why you are best fit for this internship.
Graphic Design / Video
The Graphic Design / Video intern will be involved in the assistance of the record label’s visual assets and original content. Must be hands on and have a passion for design, typography, color and layout. Duties will include but are not limited to:
Assist in cutting web assets - social media banners, PR and mailer .jpgs/pngs/gifs as needed.
Assist in video editing of teasers and original content.
General departmental errands.
HTML, CSS, Javascript and WordPress, sketching something great with a pencil and paper, CGI, videography and photography experience is a plus. Please submit portfolio.
A&R (CLOSED)
The A&R intern will be involved in the assistance of the record label’s music acquisition and artist communications department. Duties will include but are not limited to:
Playlist assistance and maintenance.
Assist in reviewing demos.
*Along with your resume, please submit your level of DAW experience, if any, along with 5 songs that from any time or place that speak to you strongly.
Social Media
The Social Media intern(s) will be involved in the record label’s social chatter. Duties will include but are not limited to:
Assist in the curation of social channels.
Assist in reporting and digital upkeep.
General departmental errands.
*Knowledge of Adobe Suite a plus. Along with your resume and a few sentences on why you’re best fit for this internship.
